Operational 

Generally a VLC should only be used to lift loads from the vehicle to the ground or from the ground to the vehicle.

Where a VLC is planned to be used for positioning a load or loads, the lifting must be approved by MPX, and only after it has been established that no other lifting options are considered practicable.

People carrying out work with a VLC must be inducted into applicable SWMS and hold valid records of training/competency, evidence must be retained on site refer to:
